Let go to let in (2)

This is in continuation to my last blog - Let go to let in.

We have so many blessings, wishes and prayers that we wish to be granted. However, for that to happen, we must make space for those blessings, wishes and prayers to enter in our lives - and how do we do that? We make space for their entry.

Let's think about a festival. How do we prepare for such occasions? Preparations will begin weeks or months early - deep cleaning of every nook and corner of our homes, decluttering and dismantling of things that are not of use, big bags of trash outside waiting to be thrown off, purchase of new materials - clothes, illumination or perhaps a change in the interiors of our homes. Likewise, we need to prepare for our blessings to arrive.

The preparations are the inspired actions and the want for our wants, desires, our wishes to enter our lives.

Let's say one is looking to settle down in life, searching for that life partner. How should the person prepare? He/She must find stability and love in themselves first and then wait for that perfect person to arrive. They must detach, remove and trash off behaviors, environments, circumstances, things and people that do not support the vision they have for their future. This decluttering process is an overwhelming one because, they are detaching from everything that was once familiar but doesn't support the future vision what they have.

Let's take another example. A person is trying to get rid of an addiction or toxic behaviors and patterns in their life. What should be the first step? To recognize what is it that is making the person stuck in their old ways, and what repercussions will it have in the long run? Next is to identify those repeating patterns and make efforts to stop repeating those cycles and ultimately get rid of them. This process is again overwhelming because even after multiple times they want to do something (from the old), they have to consciously make a strong decision to never go back to the old (that was harmful) and constantly choose the new (developmental).

Ultimately, it is the choices that we make, the decision to stick to those choices and to persevere to make it a habit. We must note that these choices are always from a higher perspective, that might not make sense or give you happiness at the moment, but ultimately over a period of time, when the result show up we will be proud and content that we did not give up on ourselves.

So, what are you letting go and what are you doing to LET IT ALL IN?
